Avril Lavignerupanya sedang sangat produktif. Baru saja meluncurkan album barunya,Goodbye Lullaby, pada Maret lalu, sekarang penyanyi cantik ini kabarnya sudah punya 8 lagu calon album baru!
Pelantun tembang What The Hell ini merilis album keempatnya pada Maret lalu. Avril lupanya tak ingin lama-lama vakum karena dirinya menyatakan bahwa saat ini sedang sibuk menggarap album barunya dan sudah mengantongi bebrapa lagu.
Yang menarik, Avril mengaku bahwa album barunya nanti akan lebih 'mellow' dari album Goodbye Lullaby. Tak hanya itu, albumnya nanti juga akan lebih 'ngepop' dan 'seru'.Ini dia beberapa judul lagu yang disebut-sebut Avril akan masuk di Album ke 5 nya, Gone, Candy, dan Complete Me
"Aku sudah punya 8 lagu! Sepertinya aku akan meluncurkan album ke-5 secepatnya. Album ini akan lebih mellow, dan lebih ngepop dan seru. Aku sudah punya satu lagu yang akan jadi single-nya, hanya perlu merekamnya lagi," tulis Avril pada situs fansclubnya.
Selain pengumuman mengenai album barunya, penyanyi muda ini juga menyatakan bahwa dirinya akan menyanyikan lagu milik Coldplay, Fix You, sebagai bagian turnya musim panas ini

Cerita-cerita menjelang tidur itu memang sangat menghibur dan membawa kenangan masa kecil yang begitu indah. Namun tahukah Anda bahwa dongeng-dongeng tersebut pada awalnya bukan begitu ceritanya. Dalam sebuah buku berjudul The Most Creepy Fairy Tales, dongeng-dongeng itu ternyata awalnya dibuat dengan cerita yang sangat mengerikan dan menakutkan. Beruntunglah kita tidak pernah mendengar kisah sebenarnya dari dongeng-dongeng itu, karena telah dimodifikasi sedemikian rupa (terima kasih untuk HC Anderson, Brother Grimms, dan Walt Disney yang telah mengubah kisah horor itu menjadi dongeng anak-anak yang menyentuh hati). Jika tidak, mungkin masa kecil kita tidak seindah yang kita ingat. Berikut ini adalah kisah sebenarnya dari dongeng-dongeng populer tersebut :
1. SNOW WHITE & SEVEN DWARFS
Ucapan terima kasih perlu kita alamatkan pada Walt Disney yang telah mengubah kisah Putri Salju dan 7 Kurcaci ini menjadi sebuah cerita yang legendaris seperti yang kita ketahui saat ini. Dalam versi asli epik ini, dikisahkan bahwa Ratu meminta bawahannya untuk menghabisi Putri Salju. Dan sebagai bukti kalau Putri Salju telah terbunuh, sang bawahan harus membawa jantung Putri Salju. Saat melepaskan Putri Salju, Bawahan Ratu membunuh rusa dan membawa jantung rusa itu ke hadapan Ratu, serta mengakui jantung itu milik Putri Salju. Sang Ratu lalu memakan jantung Putri Salju dan berharap kecantikan Putri Salju berpindah padanya.
Di akhir cerita, dikisahkan bahwa Putri Salju yang tewas setelah makan apel beracun, hidup lagi berkat ciuman seorang Pangeran. Setelah Putri Salju diboyong ke istana, sang Ratu dihukum. Namun berbeda dengan versi yang anda ketahui, hukuman untuk Sang Ratu sangatlah kejam. Kakinya dipasung dengan sepatu besi dan si Ratu dipaksa menari sampai mati di hadapan Putri Salju. 2. CINDERELLA :
Kisah lain yang cukup populer di masa kanak-kanak kita adalah Cinderella alias Si Upik Abu. Dalam versi aslinya, saat Pangeran mencari pemilik sepatu kaca, Ibu Tiri Upik Abu berusaha sangat keras agar anak-anaknya terpilih sebagai pemilik sepatu. Putri yang kakinya kebesaran, jari-jarinya dipotong agar muat. Sementara Putri yang kakinya kekecilan, kakinya digilas dengan roda gerobak kuda yang sangat berat (dari sinilah sebenarnya muncul istilah “Pain for Beauty”(Biar Sakit Asal Cantik)). Pada akhirnya, cara itu tidak berhasil karena Sepatu Kaca itu tetaplah tidak muat untuk kedua kakak-beradik itu.
Ketika Sang Pangeran menemukan bahwa pemilik sepatunya adalah Cinderella, maka murkalah dia, dan segera memerintahkan burung elang peliharaannya untuk mematuk dan memakan mata Ibu Tiri Cinderella, kemudian mengusir Ibu Tiri dan adik-adik tirinya dari kota. Sang Ibu Tiri dan adik tiri Cinderella pada akhirnya menjadi pengemis yang tinggal di luar kota. 3. HANSEL & GRETEL
Kisah rekaan Brother Grimms ini awalnya dibuat untuk orang dewasa. Namun karena tidak populer, akhirnya diubah versinya dan disesuaikan untuk anak-anak. Dalam versi dewasanya, Hansel dan Gretel diceritakan sering disiksa oleh orang tuanya yang psycho. Sang ayah sering menyambuk mereka dan sang ibu suka melukai kedua anak itu dengan menyayat kulit mereka dan tertawa-tawa saat melihat darah mengalir keluar dari kulit yang tersayat itu.
Saat kedua anak itu kabur dari rumah, keduanya bertemu rumah yang terbuat dari permen / coklat, yang tidak lain adalah milik Tukang Sihir. Yang mengejutkan, Sang Tukang Sihir adalah Kanibal yang pada akhirnya membunuh dan memakan mereka. Hansel & Gretel adalah kisah pertama yang mengangkat tema kanibalisme.
4. LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Kisah klasik ini sebenarnya diangkat dari kisah nyata tentang penyerangan seekor srigala pada seorang anak perempuan berkerudung merah. Kejadian ini terjadi pada abad 18 di daerah Eropa. Waktu itu dikisahkan seorang anak disuruh orang tuanya mengunjungi nenek mereka yang sakit dan tinggal di hutan. Awalnya, anak itu disuruh pergi subuh-subuh. Namun entah mengapa, sang anak memutuskan pergi tengah malam. Akibatnya, dia dikejar oleh srigala. Memang si anak lolos dari kejaran srigala dan berhasil tiba di rumah neneknya dengan selamat. Namun yang tidak diduga olehnya, ternyata ada seekor srigala yang telah memakan sang nenek dan bersembunyi di dalam rumah. Dan ketika si anak itu tiba di rumah, sang serigala segera menghabisi anak malang itu.
Kisah asli Little Red Riding Hood nyaris difilmkan secara utuh dalam film Hoodwinkled. Namun berhubung film itu dikhususkan untuk anak-anak, akhirnya versinya diubah dengan mengikuti alur sesuai dengan cerita yang kita ketahui saat ini. Jika tidak…. mungkin Anda akan termuntah-muntah saat menontonnya. 5. THE LITTLE MERMAID : “Under the sea…. under the sea…” Yeah… Anda tentu ingat lagu yang dinyanyikan oleh Sebastian – si udang berisik dari dasar laut. Dengan aksen Jamaikanya dia menghibur kita dengan lagu yang menyenangkan itu. Kisah si Putri Duyung ini pun begitu menyentuh dan disuka oleh banyak orang hingga hari ini. Namun tahukah Anda bahwa kisah si Putri Duyung itu tidaklah seindah yang Anda tahu?
Dalam versi aslinya, Ariel si Putri Duyung – selama menjadi manusia – dibekali dengan pisau yang terselip rapi di balik rambutnya yang panjang dan tebal. Tujuannya sederhana : Jika ada orang yang mencurigai keberadaannya sebagai Putri Duyung, maka Ariel harus membunuh orang itu. Dia harus melakukan hal ini untuk melindungi jati dirinya, serta keselamatan kerajaan Neptunus dan spesies Mermaid di laut agar tidak menjadi buruan manusia.
Dalam perkembangan kisahnya, kisah cinta Ariel berakhir tragis. Cintanya bertepuk sebelah tangan, dan sang pangeran meninggalkannya untuk menikah dengan gadis lain. Hal ini membuat Ariel patah hati dan akhirnya memilih membunuh dirinya sendiri dengan pisau yang dibawanya.
Dari sinilah muncul istilah “Mermaid Tears” (Air mata Putri Duyung).
Hewan Sirenia – atau dikenal juga dengan sebutan Sapi Laut / Sea Cows – disebut pula dengan nama Putri Duyung karena memiliki morfologi tubuh yang mirip dengan gambaran Putri Duyung. Hewan laut ini sering terlihat mengeluarkan air mata. Dan kini Anda paham kan mengapa dia menangis?
